ABOUT US
Bill Holden Construction, Inc. opened it's doors in January of 1987. After years of gaining knowledge of the construction industry in the Dalton area, Bill stepped into the arena. He and his company quickly became one of the most trusted names for construction in the area. From concrete work and tufting machine pad replacement, building erection, and dirt work, Bill and his crew helped the flooring industry with decades worth of construction work and crane rental.
CRANE RENTAL
Bill began in the crane industry with the acquisition of a 1979 Pettibone 30-Ton crane in the early 90s. Within a few short years, he out grew the one crane and expanded to having multiple rigs. So in 1993 he purchased a Grove TMS750B 50-Ton crane, nicknamed by the decals on the back as "MY 401K". While he worked in both construction and crane rental for years, eventually he transitioned into crane rental service entirely. In 2007 a Manitex 30102C 30-Ton Boom Truck was added to the fleet. As the need grew, Bill expanded and added a 15-Ton Broderson carry deck crane thus allowing him to do more indoor and tight quarters work.
Throughout his career Bill earned the reputation of being one of the greatest operators in the area. While he scaled down to being only an owner/operator in the later years, his customers had no problem letting him get to their lifting needs whenever he could find an opening in his schedule.
CARRYING ON THE LEGACY
In May of 2019, Bill left his legacy to his three sons when he unexpectedly passed away. Immediately they stepped up, and have sought to make him proud by continuing and building upon the great company and legacy that he built. Within the first three years, they have added two new rigs to the lineup: a USTC 1000JBT 10-Ton Boom Truck and a Grove GMK5120B 120-Ton crane. Therefore allowing them to offer more capacity/reach capabilities and schedule availability to their customers, with the same name they trust.
In August of 2024, to more conveniently fill the gap between the 50 and 120-Ton cranes, a GROVE TMS870 70-Ton crane was acquired and deployed into the fleet. This allowed them to immediately begin projects that required a higher capacity tail crane, as well as fit the need that was apparent when the GMK5120B temporarily sat in as a lesser tonnage crane for customers.
